PD/PLC Coordinator - Specialist
Be a part of something meaningful by joining the NSF-funded CS1C@OC Project to build a local area network of 100 well-trained Computer Science teachers in Orange County. Increasing the number and quality of high school (and middle school) computer science teachers in Orange County requires systemic change to professional development opportunities. CS1C@OC is developing a Computer Science Teacher Certificate Program not only intended to meet California’s new Computer Science Supplementary Authorization but also to effectively prepare teachers to teach Exploring Computer Science and AP Computer Science Principles as well as provide teacher-participants with a supportive Professional Learning Community (PLC). By joining this project, you could be developing and delivering one or more of the certificate program courses and/or coordinating the PLC meetings to support new teachers in their classrooms. Percent of time will be proportional to responsibilities.
