An excellent record of teaching and outreach activities and the Ph.D. degree are required. Specific duties include the development and implementation of new courses and curricula at the undergraduate level and leadership roles in undergraduate activities and advising, in community outreach activities and in improving instructional resources. It is expected that the Lecturer PSOE will be involved in the submission of grants, attend relevant professional meetings, review programs, submit journal articles, and serve as chair in symposia at professional meetings.
