Position description

For the 2018-2019 academic year, the School of Education may have a need for temporary, part time supervisors for science and math candidates in its secondary teacher credential program. The supervisors are responsible for observing and providing feedback to candidates in fieldwork at middle school classrooms, attending professional development, and faculty meetings.

Must have own transportation and be available to visit schools throughout Orange County to observe candidates during school day hours. The supervisor position typically requires a 2 consecutive quarter commitment.

Service Period Dates for 2018-2019 Academic Year:
Winter Quarter: 1/2/19 - 3/22/19
Spring Quarter: 3/27/19 – 6/14/19

Minimum Qualifications:
California teaching credential in science or math. Relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
A master’s degree in education or relevant content area. Experience mentoring or teaching pre-service teachers.

Salary:

Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $54,738, a typical supervisor workload is 4%-8%, but may vary.
