Description

The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine is seeking experienced Advance Heart Failure Cardiologist. This position is a full-time academic appointment in the Health Science Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels , to practice at UC Irvine Medical Center through the School of Medicine.
Requirements: Prior to the start of employment, an individual must have an MD or equivalent,board certified in the Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and Board Certified in Advance Heart Failure & Transplant. Applicant must have experience from a major Advance Heart Failure & Transplant center; and demonstrate experience and expertise in all Heart Failure diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including knowledge and management of Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), teaching, research, and administration. Applicant must have the willingness to start a new Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program. Applicant must qualify for UC Irvine Medical Center medical staff privileges. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications.
