Position description

The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine is seeking qualified candidates for Health Sciences Clinical Instructor positions. This recruitment is for clinicians who are interested in pursuing an academic career in clinical practice in a dynamic and growing School of Nursing. The School is seeking clinicians who have experience in underserved community clinic settings or Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). New graduates may be considered with appropriate experience and interest. Level and salary are commensurate with background and experience.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with expertise in Family/Individual across the Lifespan. Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills. Candidates may have experience with clinical teaching and possess a desire to work in an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, as well as an active and unencumbered California RN license, California NP Certificate, NP Furnishing Number, and DEA Registration. Bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred.
