The University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine, in partnership with Korn Ferry, announces a national search for the Chair, Department of Dermatology.

The Department of Dermatology at UC Irvine's School of Medicine is committed to advancing clinical care, education and research to help patients with varying dermatological conditions. The department's world-class faculty is dedicated to preparing medical students and residents for careers in academia and private practice, and the diversity of their education interests and research interests include alopecia areata, atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, systemic lupus erythematosus, vitiligo, and many other dermatological conditions.

The next Chair for the Department of Dermatology will further have the opportunity to shape and expand the department through investments to support growth in extramural research grants and articulating a vision that inspires others. The successful candidate will be a nationally recognized scholar and forward-thinking leader, one with a distinguished record of achievement in research and scholastic work, building academic programs, and administration. The chair must demonstrate transparency, a deep sense of professionalism, commitment to diversity and inclusion in all its forms, an unwavering ethical compass, and strong support for integrative health and interdisciplinary and inter-professional collaboration.

Qualified candidates will: have earned an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and be board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, be eligible for appointment as a full professor, and be eligible for a medical license in the state of California. Candidates must demonstrate a record of scholarly productivity and involvement in academic societies at a national level.
