Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior
Position: Postdoctoral Scholar Series

The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior anticipates openings in the Postdoctoral Scholar Series.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D., and/or M.D. degree with experience preferably in the fields of Psychiatry, Neuroscience, Genetics, Psychology, or related field by the time of employment. Other important and desirable qualifications include a background molecular biology techniques such as CRISPR/CAS, expansion microscopy, lattice light sheet microscopy, or related confocal imaging techniques, animal behavioral assays, and mitochondria functional studies. Experience in postmortem brain research, bioinformatics and statistical analysis, are desirable. Publications in these specialized fields are required. Positions are dependent on extramural funding and research contracts of two P.I.'s, Drs. William E. Bunney and Marquis P. Vawter. The positions may be full or part-time and salary will be based on experience and University guidelines for Postdoctoral Scholar.
