Studio Teacher, Classical Horn

Description:
Seeking a motivated instructor in horn to begin Fall quarter 2019. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of private instruction in classical horn, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music and significant professional experience as a horn performer, both in ensemble and solo work. Preferred qualifications include a Masters or Doctoral degree in music, a visible and significant record of activity as a professional performer and teacher, and experience recruiting high school students to pursue higher education studies in music.

Duties of the instructor include teaching weekly, individual 50-minute lessons for classical horn performance majors, attending annual auditions in the department and quarterly juries, recruitment efforts within the department, and completing mandatory online training. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreements.
