Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is accepting applications for a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor Level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series in the Division of Family Planning.

Responsibilities will include private patient practice, medical student and resident supervision and teaching, as well as other general faculty duties. Duties will include teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students in the clinics, operating room, and during formal didactic sessions, participation in the contractual clinical obligations of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Family Planning and in the private practice group of the division. Duties also include initiative and participation in the advancement of Family Planning programmatic efforts throughout the clinical arenas. Research is not a mandatory requirement for this position; however, the department and division strongly encourage research and/or creative activity.

Candidates must possess an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., a California Medical License (at the time of start date), be American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified, and successful completion of subspecialty training in Family Planning. Applicants should have excellent clinical skills, medical knowledge, interest in teaching, and scholarly accomplishments. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
