Supervisor of Single Subject Teacher Education in Social Science

For the 2019-2020 academic year, the School of Education may have a need for a temporary, part time supervisor for social science candidates in its single subject teacher credential program. The supervisor is responsible for observing and providing feedback to candidates in fieldwork at middle and high schools, and attending professional development and faculty meetings.

Must have own transportation and be available to visit schools throughout Orange County to observe candidates during school day hours. Most supervisor positions require a 2 or 3 consecutive quarter commitment.

Service Period Dates for 2019-2020 Academic Year:
Fall Quarter: 9/23/19 – 12/13/19
Winter Quarter: 1/2/20 - 3/20/20
Spring Quarter: 3/25/20 – 6/12/20

Minimum Qualifications:
California single subject teaching credential in social science. Experience as a secondary social science teacher. Relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
A master’s degree in education or relevant content area. Experience mentoring or teaching pre-service teachers.

Salary:

Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $56,381.
