MUSIC THEATRE SINGING LECTURER SEARCH

The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for the 2019-2020 academic year in the curriculum area of Singing for the Stage.
The department seeks applicants who can teach Broadway, “legit” and contemporary style singing technique. An BA or BFA in Drama/Theater Arts or Music is required. MFA is preferred.
Candidates for this position must have outstanding professional credits in musical theatre (and, if possible, contemporary or operatic) styles and a strong commitment to teaching, training, and working in a university environment. Candidates must demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile that is compatible with distinguished undergraduate professional musical theatre degree program at a major research university. Candidates should show a demonstrated ability and commitment to work effectively with a diverse student population.
