The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a research coordinator position at Junior Specialist level, although other levels will be considered, in the laboratory of Dr. S. Ahmad Sajjadi MD, PhD to work on a recently funded R01 project. The appointment is for 1 year with the possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to participate and previous experience in research is also required.
The candidate should be extremely efficient in working within a multidisciplinary team and have strong organizational and communication skills. The successful applicant will become a member of a vibrant team working with an old age research cohort. Candidates are required to accompany elderly and cognitively impaired research participants who attend a nearby MRI facility for brain scans. The position requires an individual who is an effective team player, highly organized, and innovative.
Applicants who have a willingness to get involved with IRB communications and have strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
