The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine invites candidates for Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the division of Basic and Clinical Immunology. Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career in subspecialty of Allergy and Immunology will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department, and will be responsible for developing Pediatric Primary Immunodeficiencies and Pediatric Allergy.
Requirements: Applicants for this position must have an M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degrees, primary board certification in Pediatrics, and subspecialty board certification in Allergy and Immunology. Candidates must have significant clinical experience and scholarly activities, and publication record in Pediatric primary immunodeficiency diseases. An experience in mentoring clinical fellows in Allergy and Immunology is desirable. The candidates should also hold, or be eligible for, a medical license in the State of California. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Pediatric primary immunodeficiency and Pediatric Allergy Programs. He/she will be responsible for directing current Immunology clinic, providing not only comprehensive, interactive clinical services, but also supporting the teaching, educational and research missions of the department, school and university. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work cooperatively and congenially within a diverse academic and clinical environment. Candidates with leadership skills and vision for enhancing the clinical and academic components of the Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology are especially encouraged to submit applications.
