The Department of Radiological Sciences at University of California, Irvine is seeking a Specialist (Assistant, Associate, Full series) to support the research efforts.
We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual with an excellent data science and research background. The candidate will assume responsibilities including: (1) data-mining to enable processing and curating complex data sets; (2) data analysis using traditional statistical and machine learning techniques; (3) design, coordination and execution of research experiments; (4) preparation and submission of manuscripts, grant proposals and research-related regulatory documentation.
A BA or BS is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in popular data science tool kits including Matlab, R and/or Python as well as applied statistical methodologies. Additionally, candidates with a background in epidemiology and pathophysiology are preferred.
