Description

The UC Irvine Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer seeks a full-time postdoctoral scholar with experience in wireless IC design to work on a microelectronic device to be used to enhance human hearing with a salary of $50,760.00 - 61,308.00 per year based on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate should have an electrical engineering background and will be overseeing the design and fabrication of a device that will placed in the ear canal.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design, simulation, and layout of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits
• Supervision of graduate and undergraduate student research
• Prepare presentations, reports, and journal/conference publications
• Assist with grant applications as needed

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in electrical engineering from an accredited university.

The initial appointment will be for a one-year period, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding. Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, includes postdoctoral service at other institutions.
