The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (P&LM) in the School of Medicine at the University of California Irvine (UCI) invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Clinical Professor level in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. This will be a full-time position that is split between P&LM and UCI Health Clinical Informatics (CI) (50% P&LM, 50% CI). The successful candidate is expected to have a strong record and commitment to clinical service, education, and research. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

For P&LM, the successful recruit will be board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology. For CI, the successful recruit will be board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical informatics and Epic Physician-builder certified. The candidate will work across all areas of the Clinical Enterprise. The recruit will be a key member of the CI program and will serve as the subject-matter expert for all aspects of P&LM Information-Technology. The candidate needs experience with workflow and process redesign, data analysis, the use of information systems to develop and support outcome measurement and management, and a proven ability to lead change initiatives through a complex, academic medical center. The recruit will be a core faculty member of the CI Fellowship program and will lead educational and research initiatives for the Fellowship.

Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career will be given the opportunity to grow and be mentored in two dynamic departments of the UCI School of Medicine, which provide care for all UCI clinical locations. The UCI Medical Center is a tertiary-quaternary care facility and home to specialty services including an NCI-designated Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, H. H.
