The Division of Teaching Excellence and Innovation at University of California, Irvine seeks one full-time Postdoctoral Scholar for one year with potential for renewal up to two years beginning mid to late summer.

The incumbent will work in collaboration with the Director for Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholar Instructional Development and the Director for Faculty Instructional Development. Duties include: teaching the University Studies 390X and 390Z graduate courses, managing the Certificate in Teaching Excellence Program, assessing DTEI programs and services for presentation and publication, conducting teaching consultations, developing and facilitating workshops, and working collaboratively with campus partners on matters related to teaching and learning. The incumbent will primarily work on graduate student and postdoctoral scholar educational development with some opportunities for faculty educational development as well.

Requirements: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. by date of employment. Applicants must have a record of successful teaching and experience as an educational developer. The incumbent will have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and successful experience working collaboratively with diverse populations. Also, as part of this position’s PostDoc training and research, teaching will be a component and when the teaching assignment is assigned, there will be a split PostDoc/Lecturer appointment arrangement, totaling a 100% appointment.
