Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical X series - Glaucoma
Position description
The Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking candidates for a full‐time faculty position as an Assistant, Associate or Full Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology – Glaucoma, with or without a secondary sub-specialty. The appointment series, dependent upon the qualifications of the candidate, may be a member of the Academic Senate in the Professor of Clinical X Series or in a Non-Senate position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series.
Candidates must have a M.D. or D.O. degree and fellowship training in the field of glaucoma. Candidates must also posses a background in research or scholarly activity with an interest in clinical or basic science research in glaucoma disease. Duties will include clinical care of patients, and sharing in the responsibility for didactic and clinical training of fellows, residents, and medical students.
