Position description

A Postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Olga Razorenova in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (https://faculty.sites.uci.edu/razorenova-lab/). The Razorenova lab focuses on cancer cell signaling to dissect the mechanisms of cancer progression with a special focus on metastasis. We are also interested in studying tumor heterogeneity, tumor metabolism, and finding novel anti-cancer therapeutics. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated and truly passionate about science with a recent graduate degree (PhD, MD/PhD or MD awarded not more than 2 years ago). First author publication record in respected journals in the field is required and should support strong academic training in cancer cell and molecular biology, animal models of cancer, metabolic diseases, drug discovery. It is my goal to promote your career and my expectation is that the candidate’s goal is to produce quality science, publish in respected journals in the field, as well as present the research at lead conferences.
