The UCI Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking applicants for the Research Fellowship in Population Health program for the start date of July 1, 2021. Clinical fellows will hold a Health Sciences Clinical Instructor title.
DESCRIPTION: The UCI Medical Center is a Level I Trauma center with 5,000 runs/year and a 50,000 ED census, with a national recognized three-year residency program since 1989. Fellowship concentrations include residency and student education with an emphasis on research methodology.
This two-year fellowship requires completion of a Master's degree in Education, Translational Science or Public Health. A one-year fellowship is available for those with a Master's degree or starting one during the fellowship.

DUTIES: Clinical professional competency and excellent patient care; teaching and advisement to residents, medical students and other relevant academic learners; scholarly and creative activities applicable to fellowship; and university and public service.
REQUIREMENTS: M.D. or D.O. degree; completion of an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine Residency training program; candidate must be eligible to obtain a California Medical License, UCI Medical Staff Privileges and Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
Positions are dependent upon funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support.
