The Center for Translational Vision Research, Department of Ophthalmology

The Center for Translational Vision Research in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position.

Applications are being sought from independent and motivated postdoctoral candidates interested in a multi-disciplinary approach to study G protein-coupled receptor signaling, visual signal transduction and retinoid metabolism and/or molecular mechanism of aging in age-related eye diseases.

Requirements:
Applicants must possess a recent Ph.D., M.D, or M.D./Ph.D. degree in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or equivalent to apply. Experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, mass spectrometry or chemistry required.

The Center for Translational Vision Research serves as an international leader in advancing research and bolstering support of investigators pursuing basic and translational sciences relevant to vision.
