Position description

For the 2020-2021 academic year, the School of Education may have a need for a temporary, part time supervisor for single subject mathematics candidates in its single subject teacher credential program. The supervisor is responsible for observing and providing feedback to candidates in fieldwork at secondary schools and attending professional development and faculty meetings. In 2020-2021, much of this work will occur through online platforms. Must have own transportation and be available to visit schools throughout Orange County to observe candidates during school day hours (if local health conditions allow). Most supervisor positions require a 2 or 3 consecutive quarter commitment.

Service Period Dates for 2020-2021 Academic Year:
Fall Quarter: 9/28/20 – 12/18/20
Winter Quarter: 1/4/21 – 3/19/21
Spring Quarter: 3/24/21 – 6/11/21

Minimum Qualifications:
California single subject mathematics teaching credential. Experience as a mathematics teacher in a secondary school. Relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
A master’s degree in education or relevant content areas. Experience as a teacher or administrator in a secondary school. Experience mentoring or teaching pre-service teachers. Experience navigating online platforms and tools.

Salary: Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $56,381.
