Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series

Job Location: Orange, CA

The UC Irvine School of Medicine, Department of Radiological Sciences is currently seeking a qualified Breast Imaging Radiologist Imaging in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series at the Assistant rank. Experience in clinical operations and strong interest in mentorship, research and teaching is required.

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.

Requirements - The applicant must have a MD/DO and must be fellowship trained in Breast Imaging. Excellent clinical skills, interest in clinical teaching, eligibility for UCI Medical Center medical staff privileges, and proven leadership skills. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in diagnostic radiology and must be licensed in the State of California. UC Irvine offers an excellent salary, incentive and benefit program. Faculty rank and compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The University of California Health system serves Orange County population. The department of Radiology performs over 220,000 examinations per year and has 40 full-time and part time faculty. All equipment is state of the art. The department has active multidisciplinary collaboration with other departments. A brand new, state of the art imaging facility is opening in early 2019 with focus on breast and women’s health in the north Orange County.
