Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series
at the Assistant and Associate rank

The UC Irvine School of Medicine, Department of Radiological Sciences, Section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology is currently expanding and seeking a qualified candidate as a Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, at the Assistant and Associate rank. Expertise in all aspects of Interventional Radiology is essential. Experience in clinical operations and strong interest in mentorship, research and teaching is required.

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.

Requirements:
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree. The applicant must be fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology and have a documented interest in research and teaching with excellent track record in scholarly activities. Candidates must be board-certified in diagnostic radiology and be licensed or be eligible for full licensure in the State of California.
The successful candidates must have excellent clinical, technical and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to education, research and patient safety. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching, and clinical research in a busy tertiary and quaternary care center with ACGME accredited IR residency programs (integrated and independent). Applicants must possess certification by the American Board of Radiology and be fellowship trained at an accredited Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship program. Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology certification or eligibility is required.

The University of California, Irvine Medical Center is a 411-bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital with all residencies. UCIMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center in urban Orange County.
