The Department of European Languages and Studies at the University of California, Irvine, anticipates hiring lecturers to teach one or more sections of beginning and/or intermediate French language courses (French 1 and/or 2 or Intensive French 1AB or 1BC), or French literature and culture classes. The annual full-time salary is $56,381, but please note that the appointment will be made at 37.5% per quarter per section and 56.25% per quarter per intensive section. Appointments will be made for one or more quarters with service periods of 3/24/21 - 6/11/21 (Spring 2021), 9/20/21 to 12/10/21 (Fall 2021), 1/3/22 to 3/18/22 (Winter 2022), 3/23/22 to 6/10/22 (Spring 2022).
Minimum requirements are Master’s Degree or equivalent in French or related fields (Ph.D. preferred); fluency in French and teaching experience in a University setting required.
