DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE

The UC Irvine Department of Emergency Medicine is excited to seek skilled physician educators who are passionate about advancing clinical care, education and research within a fast-pace, high-volume, academic clinical setting. Positions are available in the Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine series, in the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks.

DUTIES: The incumbent will be expected to provide direct teaching to clinical fellows, residents, medical students and other academic learners, while delivering accurate and professional patient-care interactions of the highest quality care. They will develop substantial original creative works or programs, and shall identify opportunities for collaborations that expand research impact to local, regional, national or international scope. They will be an active participant of university, professional and public community service, including efforts that support the university's mission of diversity and inclusive excellence.

REQUIRED: Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree with completed fellowship training in emergency medicine; has board certification in emergency medicine; has or is eligible for a California Medical License; ability to obtain UCIMC Staff credentials. Demonstrated evidence of successful capabilities for teaching and an established record of original research/creative works is necessary.

Positions are dependent upon funding. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
