Position description

The School of Nursing is accepting applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor Level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Candidate will serve as the content expert in Pediatrics for the Prelicensure Program in the School of Nursing and must have experience teaching pediatrics in an academic university.

The UCI School of Nursing is distinguished by its community-based approach to promoting, improving, and sustaining health and wellness throughout the community. The School of Nursing is one of four academic units in the College of Health Sciences which includes a School of Medicine, Program in Public Health, and School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: Master’s degree in Nursing or Post-Masters NP Certificate and active, unencumbered California RN license. A minimum of 1-year direct patient care experience within the last 5 years or current teaching experience demonstrating clinical competency is required. DNP preferred.

In addition, applicants must also solicit or submit a minimum of 3-5 references. Additionally, candidates must submit a statement on previous and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion. The statement should be 1-2 pages in length and describe actions taken to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in service, teaching, or research/creative activity.
