Position description
The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for physicians in its various divisions. These openings will be at the level of Assistant Professor or above, depending upon the candidate’s qualification and will be in the Health Sciences Clinical Series (non-tenure track) .
Criteria for the Professor in the HS Series:
Health Sciences Clinical Professor series faculty engage in scholarly or creative activities which derive from and support their primary responsibilities in clinical teaching and professional and service activities
The divisions include:
Integrative Medicine
Immunology
Infectious Diseases
Rheumatology
Cardiology
Nephrology and Hypertension
Endocrinology
Diabetes and Metabolism
Gastroenterology
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
General Internal Medicine
Primary Care Rheumatology
Hematology/Oncology
Occupational and Environmental Medicine
Requirements include an M.D. and Board certification or eligibility within their specialty. Interest in teaching is essential. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The applicant must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching and professional service.
