Position description

The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, and Department of Surgery is seeking an exceptional academic Surgical Oncologist to join the Division of Surgical Oncology. The ideal candidate will provide exemplary multidisciplinary cancer care; have a discernable academic and research trajectory or track record; as well as be an enthusiastic teacher of medical students, residents, fellows, as well as other healthcare professionals. The position requires a strong participatory interest in service commitment to relevant local, regional, national and international professional organizations and programs.

Requirements: An M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., board certification or board eligibility in specialty, California DEA license and a California Medical License. Minimum of two-year work experience post-fellowship. Candidates must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching and professional service and/or research suitable for HS Clinical Professor series. The incumbent will participate in delivering patient care in an academic clinical setting, teach residents and medical students in clinical programs, and perform University and public service.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with training, qualifications, and experience.
