The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualiﬁed applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for Fall Quarter 2021 in the curriculum area of Scenic Design.
The department seeks applicants to teach a graduate level class in Scenic Design for Non-Traditional Spaces. An MFA, or commensurate experience, in Drama/Theater Arts is required. At least 6 years’ experience as a scenic designer is required. Compensation for the quarter will be approximately
$6,200.00 total and is non-negotiable.
Candidates for this position must have extensive experience with non-proscenium theatre spaces including site speciﬁc design, immersive design and street performances; and a mastery in concept development and visual communication software such as Photoshop and Vectorworks. A proﬁciency with model making integration is also required. Candidates for this position must have a strong commitment to teaching, training, and working in a university environment. Candidates should show a demonstrated ability and commitment to work eﬀectively with a diverse student population.
