The Department and Computer Science in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences is anticipating that a Junior Specialist position will become available in the area of Hyperdimensional Computing research and development. This position would be particularly well suited for individuals who are planning to pursue Ph.D. work on this topic in the future and who want to gain experience with machine learning systems research and open source tools in the context of a leading university group.
Work will be primarily focused on developing a set of novel mathematical foundation and algorithms in the context of the brain-inspired computing. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and requires demonstrated hands-on familiarity with the programming and machine learning tools. Salary to be at a 100% appointment.
