Position description

A postdoctoral position is available on a project that is a joint collaboration between the Siryaporn and Gross labs, at the University of California, Irvine. This project is supported by a new NIH grant and seeks to use a multi-disciplinary approach to study a novel innate-immune paradigm that combines histones and antimicrobial peptides/agents to target bacterial membranes and bacterial replication. Studies at the intersection of host and microbe biology will focus on the innate immune response, its effect on bacterial physiology, and the bacterial response.

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent, and career-oriented candidate with research expertise in immunology, cell biology, bacteriology, systems biology, biophysics, or quantitative image analysis.
