Position description
The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care at the University of California, Irvine seeks qualified candidates for all ranks in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Professor).
Experience & Fellowship training in Cardiac, OB, and Pediatrics Anesthesia desired.
Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic medicine career in Anesthesiology, Pain Management, Acute Medicine, or Critical Care will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department that provides care in all UCI Irvine Health clinical locations, including the UC Irvine Douglas University Hospital, a modern facility with state-of-the-art operating rooms. Douglas University Hospital is the only level I trauma center in Orange County and our anesthesiology and perioperative medicine practice covers all subspecialties.
UC Irvine offers an excellent salary, incentive and benefit program. Faculty rank and compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants are required to be board certified/eligible and licensed to practice in the state of California.
UC Irvine Medical Center is 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean with easy access from coastal communities including Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach. Orange County has an ideal year round climate, averaging 280 sunny days and temperatures of 70-80°F.

Qualifications
Candidate must hold a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) and be eligible for California Licensure; Anesthesiology Board eligible/certified and licensed to practice in the state of California.
