Position description

The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care, University of California Irvine Health System anticipates openings for Pain Medicine Faculty in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Full Professor)

Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic medicine career in the Anesthesia subspecialty of Pain Medicine will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department. Ample opportunities exist for scholarly effort and teaching through an ACGME approved Pain Medicine Fellowship.

Candidates must be board certified in Anesthesiology, fellowship trained in Pain Medicine, certified by the ABA in pain management, and licensed to practice in the state of California.

Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. UC Irvine offers an excellent salary and benefit program.
UC Irvine Health is located in Orange County with easy access from coastal communities including Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach. Orange County has an ideal year round climate, averaging 280 sunny days and temperatures of 70-80°F.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

    Candidate must hold a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) and must be board certified in Anesthesiology, fellowship trained in Pain Medicine, certified by the ABA in pain management, and licensed to practice in the state of California.
