Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship (HS Clinical Instructor)
Position description
The UCI Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking applicants for the Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship program for the start date of July 1, 2022. Clinical fellows will hold a Health Sciences Clinical Instructor title.
DESCRIPTION: The UCI Medical Center is a Level I Trauma center with 5,000 runs/year and a 50,000 ED census. The goal of the Administrative Fellowship is to provide training and development to highly motivated and skilled physicians who are interested in developing career-paths involving clinical administrative leadership in emergency departments or other hospital levels, (academic or community settings). The focus of this fellowship will include a variety of topics in emergency medicine administration, with optional areas of focus related to patient care.
DUTIES: Clinical professional competency and excellent patient care; excellent teaching and advisement to residents, medical students and other relevant academic learners as required by the position's academic series; scholarly and creative activities applicable to fellowship; and university and public service, as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS: M.D. or D.O. degree; completion of an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine Residency training program; candidate must have or be eligible to obtain a California Medical License, UCI Medical Staff Privileges and Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
Positions are dependent upon funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support.
Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree; completion of an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine Residency training program; candidate must be eligible to obtain a California Medical License, UCI Medical Staff Privileges and Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
