Position: Specialist Series Pool Ad
Openings are anticipated throughout the year in The Department of Urology, in the School of Medicine, at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California anticipates openings in the Specialist Series, non-senate, at various levels. Level and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Requirements: Candidates must hold B.A., B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in a science or other health related field. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated, with research experience strongly preferred. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on performance and availability of support.

Qualifications
Junior Specialist rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.
Assistant Specialist rank should possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree), or five years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
Associate Specialist rank should possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Associate Specialists are normally expected to have a record of academic accomplishments, including contributions to published or in-
press research in the field and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service.
Specialist rank should possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Specialists at full rank are normally expected to have a significant record of academic accomplishments, including contributions to published or in-press research in the field, professional recognition in the field, and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service.
