Position description

The Department of Dermatology is seeking candidates for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position with expertise and experience in providing care and cutting-edge discoveries in dermatology. This is a senate eligible 0.5 FTE faculty position at the Associate Professor level. The Department seeks a board-certified MD with a strong academic background and exciting research program. This position will have up to 80% time allotted to research. Candidates must have current federal funding. Research space will be available on the UC Irvine campus, as are multiple collaborative opportunities with clinicians and scientists in a wide variety of disciplines. The successful recruit will also participate in teaching and mentoring activities of the department, which may involve medical students, graduate students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty.

As with any incomplete application, the application will not receive further consideration. Although all applicants for faculty recruitments must complete the entire application, only finalists (i.e., those to whom the department or other hiring unit would like to extend a formal offer) considered for Ladder Rank Professor or Professor of Teaching series, at all ranks (i.e., assistant, associate, and full) positions will be subject to institutional reference checks.
