The Department of Global & International Studies is establishing a pool of qualified applicants as Lecturers to teach courses in our undergraduate program. The Department engages critical interdisciplinary scholarship from across the social sciences and humanities. The ideal candidate will be able to teach on global issues such as immigration, human rights, climate change, global health, and global social movements. Courses could include:
INTL ST 102A. Global Refugees and Stateless People.
INTL ST 103A. Case Studies in Global and Planetary Health.
INTL ST104BW. Global Gender and Sexuality
INTL ST 150. Racism and Global Apartheid.
INTL ST 163. Global Inequalities.
Requirements - We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who can contribute to the quality of our undergraduate program. Candidates must have a Ph.D.
Qualifications - Ph.D. in global studies, history, sociology, anthropology, English, political science, ethnic studies, cultural studies, feminist studies, and related disciplines.
These part-time positions are based on an annual salary range beginning at $56,945 and the number of courses could vary.
Service Period Dates for 2021-2022 Academic Year:
Spring Quarter: 3/23/22 – 6/10/22
