Position: Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor
Job Location: Orange, CA

Due to sectional growth and programmatic expansion, the Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California Irvine, is seeking an exceptionally qualified candidate for a faculty position at the level of Health Sciences Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor, in the subspecialty of Musculoskeletal Imaging. The University of California Health Sciences Clinical Professor alignment (Health Sciences Clinician-Educator) is for academically qualified individuals who are excellent in teaching and clinical service and engaged in creative academic activities.

The successful applicant must hold MD or MD/PhD degree(s) or equivalent, be board-eligible/certified by the American Board of Radiology, be fellowship trained in musculoskeletal radiology, and must be fully licensed or be eligible for unrestricted licensure in the State of California. The applicant should have a strong interest in working collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.

Candidates interested in pursuing an academic medicine career in the subspecialty of Musculoskeletal Radiology will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department. In consideration of this appointment, successful candidates should have a strong commitment to patient care and medical student/resident/fellow education, and an interest in scholarly/creative activity and University service.

Requirements - The applicant must be fellowship trained in Musculoskeletal Imaging and have definite teaching interest in musculoskeletal imaging. Command of all aspects of musculoskeletal radiology is imperative, including MR, CT, and radiographic imaging, and image-guided procedures. Interest in ultrasound-guided procedures is a plus.

The University of California, Irvine Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center in urban Orange County. An outpatient imaging center with the latest MRI (3T and 1.5T), dual energy CT and PET/CT technology will open in Orange this March. A new hospital and outpatient tower with the latest imaging is planned to open in Irvine/Newport in 2025. Research equipment include 3T MRI, 320-slice CT and PET/CT. There are collegial relationships with all services. UCI offers excellent salary and benefits with an incentive plan. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
