Position description

The Department of Political Science is seeking applicants for a temporary part-time lecturer position to teach in the field of American Politics with a specific expertise in teaching intro and upper division American government courses based on departmental need. This position will replace faculty on leave during the 2022-23 academic year.

Requirements: We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who might contribute to our undergraduate program in American Politics. Candidates should have a Ph.D. by start date and be prepared to teach large lower division as well as large upper division courses in an in-person or an online format. The number and format of courses may vary depending on departmental need.

Service Period Dates for 2022-2023 Academic Year:
Fall Quarter: 9/19/22 – 12/9/22
Winter Quarter: 1/4/23 - 3/24/23
Spring Quarter: 3/29/23 – 6/16/23

**Priority for positions will be given to applications completed by April 1, 2022. **
