Heart Failure- Division of Cardiology
Position description
The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at the University of California, Irvine is seeking General Cardiologists and Advance Heart Failure Cardiologists. These positions are full-time academic appointments in the Health Science Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels, to practice through the School of Medicine.
Requirements: Prior to the start of employment, an individual must have an MD or equivalent, board certified in the Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease (HF candidates must be Board eligible or Board Certified in Advance Heart Failure & Transplant). HF applicants must have experience from a major Advance Heart Failure & Transplant center; and demonstrate experience and expertise in all Heart Failure diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including knowledge and management of Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), teaching, research, and administration.
General Cardiology applicants must be willing to work at our outreach clinic locations and spend time in inpatient ICU/consult service. Applicants must qualify for UC Irvine Medical Center medical staff privileges. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications.
