Position description
The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings in the Specialist Series in various divisions.
The divisions are:
Immunology
Infectious Diseases
Cardiology
Nephrology and Hypertension
Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
Gastroenterology
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
General Internal Medicine and Primary Care
Rheumatology
Hematology/Oncology
Occupational and Environmental Medicine

Qualifications:
BS degree required for Jr. Specialist rank
Assistant rank - MS or 5 yrs experience
Associate rank - MS or 5-10 yrs experience
Specialist rank - Terminal degree (PhD/MD) or 10+ yrs experience
Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support
