Position description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking an energetic and creative academic board eligible/certified orthopaedic faculty members with specialization in Adult Joint Reconstruction for an appointment at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor rank in the non-Senate, non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Applicant should have specialty training experience that includes adult joint reconstruction, trauma related to lower extremities, degenerative diseases, and reconstruction. The successful candidates must hold a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) and be eligible for California Licensure. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will be expected to take part in the teaching of orthopaedic residents and medical students, demonstrate professional competency and activity and perform University and public service. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to cover trauma call related the lower extremities. We deliver clinical services at the UCI Medical Center in Orange and The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center in Costa Mesa. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to patient care and resident education, and an interest clinical research.
