Temporary Lecturer Positions
2022-2023 Academic Year

Fall 2022 (September 22, 2022 – December 9, 2022)

ART 126B. Issue is Techno-Arts. Addresses issues related to artmaking practices that emerge in tandem with new technologies. Topics include sociopolitical contexts of techno-art; utopic/dystopic framings; key moments in the history of techno-arts.

ART 130A. Projects in New Technologies. Working with media such as electronic still cameras, desktop publishing, faxes, satellites, virtual reality, digitized imaging. Cultural issues pertinent to the emergence of new technology (e.g., ethical concerns, social impact, copyright laws, nontraditional approaches to distribution, cyberpunk, global markets).

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MFA (or equivalent) or PhD, and at least 3 years of teaching experience or equivalent experience, at the college or university level.

Salary of approx. $6,202 per class.

All classes above will be taught in-person.
Art 126B is scheduled on TuTh 1-3:20pm.
Art 130A is scheduled on TuTh 3:30-5:50pm.
