Position description

The University of California, Irvine, Department of Neurobiology and Behavior, seeks a Junior Specialist for research in learning and memory at the Translational Neuroscience Laboratory (TNL). The TNL is a NIH-funded multi-project laboratory which focuses on integrative neuroscience research on learning and memory mechanisms with translational applications to education, technology, and clinical disorders.

The Junior Specialist will work within the study team of researchers in the lab focusing on a large NIA-funded research study investigating biomarkers for cognitive impairment. Duties include study participant recruitment, screening, visit scheduling, neuropsychological and cognitive assessment administration. Duties will also include data entry and analysis and additionally will collect Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data from study participants (experience with MR Image acquisition is helpful, but training will be provided as necessary).

This position is offered at a 100%-time appointment for one year with the potential to renew annually.

Salaries are based on University of California salary scales, which are dependent on academic rank and step, and commensurate with experience.
