Position description
The Department of Art at UC Irvine seeks applications for 2 part-time field researchers in the Junior Specialist series. We seek highly motivated applicants to conduct basic research for an upcoming publication that investigates the intersection of photography, performance, and printmaking.
The successful applicant will support research by organizing and transcribing interviews with invited artists, editing the transcribed interviews, and general assistance with the publication. The position will involve coordination with academic staff at other universities.
Appointment is at 40% (hours variable per week; up to 16 hours per week) from July 11, 2022 through September 16, 2022 (10 weeks).

Qualifications
Candidate must have an MFA (or equivalent). Candidate should have good managerial skills; typing; transcription and editing skills are required, as well as a background and knowledge of the arts, specifically photography and video.
