Position description
Thomas E. Milner, Ph.D., anticipates openings for Junior, Assistant, Associate, and Full Specialists.
Junior Specialists - Should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree preferably in Physics, Chemistry, or Optical Engineering) or equivalent research experience.
Assistant Specialists - Should possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree), or 5 yrs. of experience.
Associate Specialists - Should possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or 5-10 yrs. of experience.
Specialists - Should possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent degree) or 10+ yrs. of experience
Additional Qualifications: Candidates must be able to work in an interdisciplinary setting developing electrical, mechanical, optical, and chemical specifications and processes for systems, products, components, and applications by designing, fabricating, and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of materials and components.
Preferred qualifications: B.S. degree preferably in Physics, Chemistry, or Optical Engineering.
Understanding medical device manufacturing and testing processes with related regulations such as IEC60601-1 and 510(k) submissions.
Responsibilities: Include working with novel optical microscope and laser medical technologies, physics, and optics to integrate various new optical technologies into current and new systems.
