Position: Jr Specialist/Assistant Specialist • 2022 - 2023
The Department of Radiological Sciences at University of California, Irvine is seeking a Specialist (Jr. Specialist, Assistant Specialist) to support research efforts.
We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual with an excellent medical imaging research background. The candidate will assume responsibilities including: (1) Carry out in vitro autoradiographic binding studies in animal and postmortem human tissues; (2) Use PET radiotracers for in vivo imaging studies; (3) Carry out quantitation of immunostained tissue sections using QuPath; (4) Assist in the synthesis and characterization of small molecules; (5) Preparation and submission of manuscripts, grant proposals and research-related regulatory documentation.
Junior Specialist requirement: Baccalaureate degree or equivalent research experience
Assistant Specialist requirements: MS Degree or 5 years experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PET radiopharmaceutical development and medical imaging analysis methods using PET/CT software.
