Position description

The University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates of Health Science Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels with Gastroenterology experience to join our expanding academic practice, for the following sub-specialties:
• General GI
• Interventional
• Hepatology
• Irritable Bowel Disease
• Motility

Candidates will be joining an established academic program which includes 12 gastroenterologist, 4 colorectal surgeons and research program, including clinical trials and translational work. The position incorporates clinical practice, teaching responsibilities including supervision of fellows and residents in the inpatient, outpatient and endoscopy center and research.
The UCI H.H. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Diseases Center under the leadership of Kenneth Chang, M.D., has a full scope of clinical services that include treatment in state of the art endoscopy center, GI oncology, pancreato-biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, G.I. motility and hepatology with service locations in Orange, Irvine, Newport, and Tustin.
This position affords the opportunities for growth of the program.
Candidates must have or be eligible for a California Medical License. Candidates must also be board-certified Internal Medicine and Board-certified/board eligible in Gastroenterology.
