Postdoctoral Scholars – Ostlund Laboratory
The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care, University of California Irvine Health System, anticipates openings for Postdoctoral Scholar position(s) in the Ostlund Laboratory. Candidates should possess a PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, or related field with experience in Behavioral Neuroscience.
Our research focuses on basic mechanisms of motivated behavior and decision making and how they become dysregulated in addiction and other behavioral disorders. We integrate sophisticated rodent behavioral assays with a range of neuroscience techniques such as opto- and chemo-genetics, and fast-scan cyclic voltammetry.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar requires a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D.) or the foreign equivalent.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar requires a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D.) or the foreign equivalent at the time of start.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in rodent behavioral analysis.
• Demonstrated evidence of research scholarship.
